Studio Arkane Austine (behind 2017’s Prey) has finally put an end to many delays by offering a firm date. In addition, he used his visit to this event to clarify several things, especially the need for Internet connectivity. Answer? Here it is from here Frequently asked questions from the official website:
Will Redfall require an online connection for single player and co-op?
Singleplayer and co-op mode require a constant online connection.
A condition that has not escaped the attention of players who have already complained Similar request for Gran Turismo 7 game.
Redfall: a divisive choice
Indeed, requiring an online connection has led to its share of disgruntled, but above all, divided players. On the one hand, some believe that this situation is not a problem. Their main argument is that today our computers and consoles are constantly connected to the Internet. On the other hand, we see that some do not have to connect to the Internet for the following reason: if the game were to die, those who bought it would not have access to it. :
Does anyone really care? It’s 2023, who doesn’t have a constant online connection?

It’s on gamespass so I’ll definitely give it a try.
I’m not sure why there are so many people on the answers with the problem of always being online, they have internet to be able to answer in the first place, so obviously more of a drama statement than a real issue.— Chronicle (@CHRONIC_UK) February 2, 2023
It was on my “never heard of” list….now on my “never buy and encourage others not to buy” list. The same goes for any other game that tries to connect online for a single player game.

>$70
>Singleplayer requires continuous online connection
>need for solo online becomes permanent death of the game after a few years of servers being taken down. Can now cross this off my wishlist pic.twitter.com/M3dPuAMTFp

I don’t understand why a lot of people in the answers always have a problem with being online, they have internet to be able to answer in the first place, so obviously it’s not a real problem, it’s more of a dramatic statement.

Solo play requires a constant online connection. The need for online single player results in permanent death of the game after the servers crash after a few years. Now I can check it off my wishlist.
Anyway, the game proposition seems to be more fun between friends because Redfall is a co-op shooter. 4 dead and Far Cry. Players will have to fend off vampires with their characters, each with unique abilities and customizable weapons to collect to suit their adventures. See you on May 2nd for Redfall’s release on PC, Xbox Series, and Xbox Game Pass.
