Alchimie has successfully completed the first phase of its transition and announced that it has achieved €22 million in revenue and operating profitability for 2022.

ALCHIMIE (FR0014000JX7 – ALCHI – PEA-PME compliant) (Paris:ALCHI), a platform for creating video streaming and video-on-demand channels funded by subscription (SVOD) or advertising (FAST)1) serves brands and businesses as well as the general public, announces its consolidated annual revenue2.
Pauline Grimaldi d’Esdra, Managing Director of Alchimie, comments: “Fiscal year 2022 was marked by the successful restructuring phase of the Company and the development of new growth factors, with the first revenues expected in early 2023. We exceeded our initial revenue targets and achieved operating profitability with EBITDA close to EUR. 3 million. Focusing the company’s resources on high-potential channels paid off and allowed Alchimie to exceed its €20 million revenue target. This good level of activity is mainly explained by the activity of the subscriber bases in France and Germany.
Continuous development of diversified offers
The year 2022 is marked by the development of the Company’s BtoBtoC activities with the signing of contracts at the end of 2022, and the first revenues are expected in the coming months. Alchimie is now rolling out its video platform offering to brands Decathlon (opening of the Sportunivers.tv channel around the themes of sports, well-being and discovery), decoupling (launching of the specialized channelEducation Humanity Junior, Change of Humanity) or even
U system With the launch of 17 channels Alchimie’s portfolio around the themes of science, passions, history and nature.
In addition, it strengthened its position in the Alchimie segment FAST chains Thanks to the signing of a partnership with LG Channels. As with its partnership with Samsung TV Plus, several million LG Smart TV users in Germany, the UK, France, Spain and Italy have free access to 23 channels produced by Alchimie. Alchimie will expand its offering in this market by opening new channels in France and Spain. The company recently signed deals with FreeWheel and Goldbach, players specializing in providing advertising platforms in Europe, with the aim of increasing the monetization of its inventory.
Finally, the development of the channel publishing proposition on behalf of brands should demonstrate its potential within Year 1.er semester in an uncertain global economic context.
Strategy and perspective 2023
After the termination of the service on the Orange portal on January 31, 2023, Alchimie aims to achieve a turnover of around 12 million euros for the current financial year, a large part of which is generated by the subscriber bases for the historical services. .
Although this subscriber base will decrease, it will lead to the stabilization of circulation. Marketing of multifaceted offerings will allow for a return to revenue growth in 2024.
Indeed, the company intends to accelerate the commercialization of hosting and video streaming platform functions to respond to companies’ communication (internal and external) challenges, to enhance customer experience, loyalty or information.
The company will continue to manage its operations by maintaining strict cost management and aims to achieve positive EBITDA by the end of 2023.
In terms of financial resources, Alchimie does not plan to approach the market, given its cash position of €6.2 million at the end of December 2022.
