Minecraft Legends was developed by Mojang, the Swedish studio that created Minecraft, in collaboration with Blackbird Interactive, the Canadian team that worked on the Homeworld series. To help, a third team based in Redmond is also working on the project.

Is there multiplayer?
Minecraft Legends will introduce online co-op multiplayer. So you can team up with your friends to explore the app’s campaigns. A competitive mode (PvP) will also be available, allowing participants to send their multiple units to the teeth while building massive bases. Basically, the PVP mode pits two teams, blue and orange, against each other on randomly generated maps. Each team can consist of four players. As the game progresses, players gain access to tougher squads and stronger structures. Some buildings bring damage bonuses to units and therefore will become a priority target for the opponent. The game requires strategy, resources will be important. It should be noted that pigs will roam the map and may decide to surround structures in their path.

So far, Minecraft Legends has been announced for the first half of 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch. The Mojang title will be available on Game Pass from launch.
