The most important releases for PlayStation 5 in 2023 –
Now that we’re a few weeks into the new year, it’s time to look ahead and see what the future holds for the gaming space. We’ve already seen what the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series have in store. Just left the PlayStation 5. So, with that being the case, let’s take a look and see what PS5 owners have to be excited about in 2023.
Talk – January 24
The year begins by taking PlayStation 5 owners to the fantasy kingdom of Athia. Developed by Luminous Productions, the game revolves around protagonist Frey, who searches for a way back to his home in New York and helps the inhabitants of this mystical new land fight the ever-growing corruption that threatens their existence.
Hogwarts Legacy – February 10th
While many of us are looking forward to ending 2022 with an extended stay at Hogwarts, Avalanche Software decided they needed a little more time before opening the doors to the famous School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. That’s why the highly anticipated Hogwarts Legacy is now coming in February. Regardless of that decision, the fantasy action-RPG will look to capitalize on the magic of the series and deliver an open world that will fulfill the dreams and expectations of this dedicated fan base.

PS VR2 & Horizon Call of the Mountain – February 22nd
Existing as a bit of a double whammy, Sony will be unveiling not only an upgraded PS VR2 system this month, but also a collection of new games to celebrate the launch window. The most notable of the bunch is Horizon Call of the Mountain, Guerrilla Games’ virtual reality set in a fascinating post-apocalyptic sci-fi world. center of attention.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – March 17th
Cal Kestis’ fascinating story will continue with the arrival of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor later this year. Picking up years after the events of The Fallen Order, this sequel will serve up a tougher, more hardened Kal, still on the run from the Empire, while trying to fight back and defend those who need help in this desperate time among the stars. .
Resident Evil 4 Remake – March 24
While you’re no doubt familiar with this brilliant horror game, Capcom’s efforts to update their old, beloved games means we can’t help but be really excited for the return of Resident Evil 4. delivering truly impressive visuals will be the best way to experience one of Leon S. Kennedy’s greatest adventures.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League – May 26
From the same team behind the incredible Arkham series, Rocksteady, this new take on the superhero game puts players in the shoes of the villains – they just happen to be the heroes. Yes, things go a little haywire, but when the Justice League is out of power and turned against the people it’s meant to protect, who else to turn to but a bunch of insecure maniacs controlled by lethal explosives planted in their heads.
Final Fantasy XVI – June 22nd
2023 is one of Final Fantasy’s biggest years in a long, long time, as we have not one, but two major projects in the series scheduled to arrive during the year. First on the cards will be Final Fantasy XVI, the latest major installment in the long-running franchise, featuring a standalone single-player RPG unlike some of its more recent predecessors. Revolving around the protagonist, Clive Rossfield, this game is designed to deliver an amazing story of revenge, power struggle and tragedy.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 – Fall 2023
We wonder what Peter Parker and Miles Morales have been up to since the end of their most recent game, but that question will soon be answered when it arrives later this year. Insomniac Games has been careful not to share many plot details so far, but at least we know that Venom will show up and cause all kinds of trouble for the Spider-Man duo.
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth – Winter
Cloud and the gang will soon return and continue their adventure, the team recently left Midgar for answers elsewhere in the world. Continuing the massive story that made up Final Fantasy VII, this impressive version of the remake will arrive on PlayStation 5 this winter – although an exact date has yet to be set, meaning there’s every chance that Rebirth won’t arrive until early 2024.
Alan Wake 2 – 2023
It’s been a long time coming, but there’s no doubt that Remedy Entertainment’s most popular character will be back soon. This survival horror sequel is designed to deliver an atmospheric, layered psychological tale similar to what we got back in 2010 when the original debuted. We currently don’t know when Alan Wake 2 will launch, but Remedy has promised it will be in 2023.
Armored Core VI: Fires of the Rubicon – 2023
2022 was a bigger year than FromSoftware, as Elden Ring arrived and took the world by storm, but in 2023, the popular Japanese developer will once again turn its sights to an older, existing franchise: Armored Core. This installment will be the sixth entry in the series, and so far what has been said is that the game will place players in their mechs and then complete a variety of fast-paced 3D missions using a dynamic set of moves. attacks that will attract and entertain any Soulslike fan.
Pragmata – 2023
At this point, you might have forgotten all about the Capcom game, and that’s because the developer hasn’t made a big fuss about it since it was announced in 2020. But then again, 2023 will be the year of Pragmata, a quirky sci-fi title that brings a lunar adventure with a deep story and stunning visuals.
