The first few months of the year are usually a bit quiet on the new games front, but there’s plenty to do this time around in January and February.

In January, we’ll follow the journey of Frey, a New Yorker who finds herself transported to the magical land of Athia in Forspoken.
The game is an action RPG that will allow you to use magical abilities to traverse vast landscapes, fight monstrous creatures and defeat powerful matriarchs. It’s said to be designed to “use the full power of the PlayStation 5 hardware” and was composed by none other than God of War composer Bear McCreary. So be careful.
2008 sci-fi survival horror Dead Space returns this month with an all-new remastered version for PS5.
We’re sure those who played this game on PS3 will remember everything it had to offer, but for those who missed it, here’s a recap:
Isaac Clarke is an ordinary engineer on a mission to repair the massive Planet Cracker-class USG Ishimura starship, only to discover that something has gone horribly wrong. The ship’s crew was killed and Isaac’s beloved partner, Nicole, disappeared somewhere on board.
Now alone and armed only with his tools and engineering skills, Isaac races to unravel the nightmarish mystery of what happened aboard the Ishimura in hopes of finding Nicole. Trapped by hostile creatures called necromorphs, Isaac fights to survive not only against the ship’s growing fears, but also against his own crumbling mind.
Hogwarts Legacy is finally coming to PS5 on February 10th – keep in mind that the PS4 version will launch a bit later in April.
This “immersive and open-ended” action-RPG will introduce you to Hogwarts and other areas of Harry Potter’s magical world in the 1800s. As you explore and discover magical beasts, you’ll travel through familiar and new locations while customizing your character. and crafting potions, mastering spellcasting, leveling up your talents, and more. and it looks like it could be a real winner.

PSVR 2 – February 22nd
It’s time for the global launch of Sony’s second-generation VR technology with the PlayStation VR2 on February 22nd.
If you haven’t heard about this shiny new VR headset yet, be sure to find out everything you need to know about it in our dedicated guide. Pre-orders for the system are now live, currently exclusive to PlayStation Direct.
More than 20 titles will launch alongside PSVR2 on February 22nd (you can check out the full list here ), but the highlight for many will be Horizon Call of Mountain.
This brand new adventure in the world of Horizon will give us our first real look at the visuals possible with PSVR2, as well as the new features available in the technology thanks to the new PSVR2 Sense controllers.
