What are the advantages of an electronic SIM?

E-SIM is a virtual SIM card therefore, it replaces a physical SIM card. It’s integrated directly into your smartphone and activating it is child’s play: just scan the QR code. By opting for electronic SIM, you get your SIM card immediately: speed and simplicity! You no longer need to wait for your SIM card to benefit from your mobile plan.

Electronic SIM has many other advantages:

You no longer have to worry about choosing the right SIM card format for your phone, which means there’s no risk of getting the wrong format between a standard SIM, micro SIM or nano SIM.
You also cannot lose or break the e-SIM because it is integrated directly into the smartphone
If your phone is stolen or lost, e-SIM can be deactivated and reactivated with just one click. Again, there’s no need to wait to get a new SIM card in the mail.
If your mobile operator offers the multi-SIM option, you should be able to download the same activation key on all your connected devices. Your tablet, watch, car and phone will all be connected to the same mobile plan with one and the same phone number.

How to get your e-SIM card from Prixtel?

The e-SIM is available to new Prixtel customers when they request their line to be ported, as are existing subscribers. To use the electronic SIM, it is enough to download its QR code in the Prixtel customer zone, in the Lines > Information and documents section.

People who already subscribe to Prixtel can switch to e-SIM from their Customer Area by ordering a new SIM. An e-SIM is also offered in case the phone is lost or stolen. Once the order has been placed, the e-SIM can be activated from Lines > Manage my line, then simply download the QR code of the e-SIM in the Information and documents tab.

How much does an electronic SIM cost? Is it more expensive than Classic SIM?

e-SIM activation costs in Prixtel are the same as for a classic card. Their cost is 10 euros. The e-SIM activation fee for subscribers with more than one year of service is 5 euros.
