Is it possible to sell at a loss on Black Friday?

Unlike the strictly regulated sales in France, Black Friday is not subject to special rules, such as a fixed price for a certain period before showing a promotion.

Resale at a loss is permitted at the time of sale but otherwise prohibited. It is, in principle, prohibited for the merchant to resell or advertise the resale of the product at a price lower than its effective purchase price (article L. 442-2 C. com.).

Are Black Friday promotions really interesting?

Black Friday promotions are often very profitable, especially on high-tech products. It’s not unusual for them to match the best prices seen on, say, high-end TV models in the coming months. Even January sales often can’t compete with November’s Black Friday deals.
